Sophia has an amazing grasp on anatomy, form and rehabilitation. This lead me to learning so much about my body and how to work it properly.
As an office worker, my neck and shoulders had a lot of pain and issues. Sophia helped me peel back layers to improve my posture and mobility. She starts with simple exercises that pack a punch, and built to more advanced moves. Now I can lift heavy weights - and I actually enjoy it!!

I originally contacted Sophia because I wanted help building up my strength and to lose some weight. Sophia was very professional and thorough in her initial assessment in that she also put together a rehab program for my lower back and knee.
Before working with Sophia, I had chronic back and knee pain. After following her personalized program, I have built up the strength in those areas where I am now able to be more active while being pain free.
I have been a member of many gyms over my
life. But no one had shown me, or had the patience with me like Sophia does. She will work with you on
an exercise until you get it right. She understands peoples personality and describes exercises as to how
it best relates to you. Trainers had previously would walk me through a program, but none of them
spent the time with me like Sophia. If I was asked, I would highly recommend her.
I really enjoy training! For me, going to the gym for a good workout after a day at the office is something I look forward to. However, since the COVID pandemic I have avoided the gym and as a result, I have struggled with keeping my fitness routines challenging and enjoyable. I decided to try out Sophia’s online fitness and have been impressed! Sophia is not only an accomplished trainer but is passionate about what she does and really cares about her clients. She takes the time to reach out regularly and learn about my goals - and then develops effective workouts to help me reach those goals. Not only are these sessions provided with written descriptions detailing the movements and what muscle groups are being worked, but Sophia goes beyond to offer video demonstrations of each routine. Sophia approaches training holistically – training is optimized for peak performance when physical strength is accompanied by balanced nutrition, healthy daily practices and good restorative sleep. She is very well-informed in all aspects but is never intimidating and always a pleasure to work with!
I met Sophie 2 years ago after deciding to try to lose some weight and tone my body. I had been trying on my own for about a year after discovering that I had reached 230lbs and my knees were giving out. I was wearing a knee brace on my right knee. I had managed to lose about 20 lbs on my own, but it was not in areas I needed to lose it. I still had a pot belly and prominent "love handles" and my knees were getting worse.
I realized I needed guidance badly. I asked at my gym and Sophie was assigned to me. Sophie asked a wide range of questions, which helped me formulate my goals. Then I was asked to show what I was doing to get to those goals. Sophie corrected my posture and technique of some of what I was doing to prevent strain, then gave me a few light exercises to strengthen my supportive muscles, as she noted that my major muscles had just taken over.
Over the course of 6 lessons, Sophie developed a plan which I use to this day, based on a weekly plan of 4 gym visits a week, with variations so boredom with the same exercises would not set in. I dropped 25 lbs rapidly and then put 15 lbs back on, all in muscle.
With a few follow ups, I am now below 190 lbs. I almost never (except when hiking) have to wear my brace. My stomach is now flat and my "love handles" much reduced. I still want to lose 10 more pounds, and should reach my goal by the end of 2021. I still follow the exercises that Sophie laid out for me and I feel fitter than I have in 25 years.
I fully endorse Sophie as a choice for a personal trainer or conditioning coach, as her coaching has set me on the right track.
